Dialed Spaces is a personal site run by one person. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, why, and what happens to it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@dialedspaces.com.
What is collected
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It collects things like the pages you view, roughly how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, the general geographic region you are in (country or city level, not your address), and the site or search that referred you.
This information is aggregated and statistical. It is not used to identify you personally, and no attempt is made to work out who any individual visitor is.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and the site will work fine either way. Google's own handling of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
If you email hello@dialedspaces.com, that message and your email address are kept so the conversation can be replied to and referred back to. Email addresses are never sold, shared, or added to any mailing list. There is no newsletter at the moment. If one is ever added, signing up will be entirely optional and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.
Affiliate links
At the moment this site contains no affiliate links and earns nothing from anything recommended here. Nothing on the site is sponsored, and no product mentioned has been provided free of charge.
That may change. If affiliate links are ever added, this policy will be updated first, every page containing them will say so clearly before the first link appears, and the specific programmes involved will be named here. Only products that are genuinely owned and used would ever be recommended, and a commission would never change what gets recommended or what gets said about it.
If affiliate links are added in future, those programmes may set their own cookies to record that a visit came from this site. Those cookies would be governed by the policies of the retailer in question, not by this site.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and operational reasons. That is normal for any website and is covered by Netlify's privacy policy.
What is not done here
No personal data is sold. No advertising networks run on this site. There are no tracking pixels from social platforms. There are no accounts to create and no passwords are stored, because there is nothing here to log in to. There is no attempt to collect information from anyone under 13.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies through your browser at any time. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the link above. You can browse this site without providing any personal information at all — nothing here requires it.
If you are in a region with specific data rights, such as the EU under GDPR or California under the CCPA, you can request a copy of any personal information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to it being processed. In practice, unless you have emailed, there is unlikely to be anything held about you beyond anonymous analytics. Email hello@dialedspaces.com and it will be handled.
